Wrds

The Wrds Downloader

If you offer wordlist files on your own website, your visitors have to download and save them first, before they can import them into Wrds. There is an easier way to do this. With the Wrds Downloader you can add an ‘Open in Wrds’ link, which allows your visitors to open the wordlists in Wrds with one simple click.

Create the Downloader-URL

To allow your visitors to use of the Wrds Downloader all you need to do is add an extra link to your download-page. This link will send your visitors to a special page in Wrds, after which Wrds will get the wordlist from your site automatically.

For an ‘Open in Wrds’ link all you need to do is enter the correct URL. You can use this step-by-step plan:

  1. Start with
    http://downloader.wrds.eu/
  2. Add the complete address of your wordlist to this:
    http://downloader.wrds.eu/http://www.digischool.nl/mijn_lijst.wrds
  3. Put a link to this address on your page.

That is all you need. When a visitor follows the link, Wrds will download the wordlist from http://www.digischool.nl/mijn_lijst.wrds, and your visitor will be able to use it.

Tips

  1. When you have created the link, it is a good idea to test it yourself first;
  2. You can create a reference to all files that can be imported into Wrds (Wrds, Overhoor, Teach2000 etc.);
  3. Make sure Wrds is able to download your lists. Do not put a password in the way;
  4. Use the complete address of your wordlist, including http://.
